You would run one or two client projects at a time, from the architecture drawing through to the handover session. That means you write the data model, you make the hosting call, you demo it on Friday, and you take the call in month six when something needs changing.
Most of our stack is TypeScript on the front and PHP or Node on the back, on Postgres. We do not expect you to know all of it. We do expect you to be able to explain why you chose one thing over another, to a client, in one sentence.
What you would do
- Own the architecture and delivery of one or two client projects at a time
- Run the Friday demo and answer for what is in it
- Review other engineers' work, and have yours reviewed
- Stay on the project after launch — support is not a separate team here
What we need from you
- Five years or more shipping production web applications
- Strong TypeScript, and comfort in at least one of PHP, Node or Python
- Relational data modelling you can defend in a review
- Written English good enough to explain a trade-off to a non-technical client
Nice to have
- Arabic, written or spoken
- Experience with RTL layouts
- Anything you have shipped that is publicly visible
